A SMALL but hardy contingent of Argyll and Bute exhibitors made the trip to Ingliston for last week’s Royal Highland Show.
They headed back west with a clutch of rosettes for the mantlepiece. Prominent among the Argyll winners was the Kildalloig flock of Bluefaced Leicesters, Campbeltown. Among their highlights were a winning gimmer which was adjudged reserve champion for the breed.
Other notable success came in the heavy horse turnouts, where Bute farmer John McMillan’s Clydesdales took home a host of winning rosettes.
