IT WAS a damp and rather midgie evening for the opening of the Taynish Art Trail. This successful collaboration between Scottish Natural Heritage and Artmap Argyll is now in its third year and has produced another great exhibition.
Eight artists from Artmap and two invited sculptors – ceramicist Pauline Muir and sculptor Tom Allan – have created a diverse and eclectic selection of pieces interpreting the artists’ response to the surroundings of the Taynish watermill ruins within Taynish National Nature Reserve (NNR).
The Artmap artists taking part are Jane Walker, Kirsty Brady, Alexander Hamilton, Kate MacDonald, Jane Smith, Melanie Chmielewska, Margaret Ker and Louise Oppenheimer.
