Sir,
After looking at the new Brodick ferry terminal building, the passenger walkway and the new jetty the distance that passengers have to walk appeared to be much further than at present.
I printed out the plans from CalMac web page and simply stepped off with dividers the new distance compared to the old - the new 16 units, the old nine units. So the new setup will involve walking nearly twice as far. The narrowness of the walkway will further constrain how quickly passengers can disembark and embark especially when they have lots of luggage. At busy times the ship may be unable to sail on time with the knock-on effect of missed connections at each end.
