The Burlington Guest House in Whiting Bay, which has been an island institution for more than 112 years, is entering a new era under new ownership after its former owners, John and Doreen Lamont, retired having run the guest house for 21 years.

The distinctive and attractive sandstone building on Shore Road, which has panoramic views over the bay, has a long history and since it was originally built by local blacksmith John Taylor in 1905 it had been run by the same family for more than 80 years.
