A meeting to encourage more community land ownership on Arran attracted a healthy attendance last week, writes Hugh Boag.
Organised by Community Land Scotland and Rural Housing Scotland at the Ormidale Pavilion, Brodick, the briefing session gave out information on the advantages of community land ownership.
Around 40 people attended the briefing from various island organisations as well as interested inviduals. It follows recent reports in the Banner that the island is facing a population crisis with an urgent need to attract younger, working people to come and live here and provide them with affordable housing.
