New era for Arran Vets

A new state-of-the-art veterinary surgery has opened on Arran.

The Arran Vets practice has moved to new premises in Knowe Road in Brodick and on Saturday a large crowd turned up in the sunshine with their pets to see the official opening.

Practice owner Charlotte Clough was delighted to welcome broadcaster and journalist Kirsty Wark, and long time friend of Arran, over for the opening with her two black labradors Pepper and Stella.

The ceremony began with a performance of the Arran Pipe Band and was followed by a welcome by Charlotte who thanked John McKean, architect, Rachel and Struan Armitage and all the skilled team at Armitage Groundworks for the building works, and Tim Wilkinson for the hospital floors and for a fabulous new surgery with a great finish.
