Twenty greatest locations for birds

The December meeting of the Arran Natural History Society took place on Thursday December 8 in the Rangers Centre in Brodick Country Park where the speaker was Keith Betton.

Keith, a passionate birdwatcher and conservationist, is vice-president of the British Trust for Ornithology. He is a keen birder having seen more than 7,900 species in 102 countries, and is one of only six people to have seen one of the world’s rarest pipits. He has a particular passion for Africa, having been chairman of the African Bird Club for the past seven years.
