Tributes were paid around the island at remembrance services last Sunday to those who have lost their lives in two world wars and other conflicts around the world.
There was a healthy turnout at the service at Brodick war memorial where Brodick Church parish as- sistant Jean Hunter led the two-minute silence assisted by Baptist minister the Rev Vince Jennings, who read the names of the deceased on the war memorial, and Fr Noel Colford of the Catholic Church.
Innes Thorborn of the Arran army cadets sounded the last post before poppy wreaths were laid at the memorial.
