Top musicians line up for Fèis Arainn family ceilidh

One of the highlights of Fèis Arainn, which starts on Tuesday, July 26 is always the family ceilidh.

Children performing at last year’s ceilidh.

Organisers are very fortunate this year in having a group of tutors each of whom is well known throughout the traditional music world and who will treat the audience to a fantastic evening of dancing and entertainment at the ceilidh in Whiting Bay Hall on Wednesday July 27 from 7.30pm till 10.30pm. They include TV and recording star Mairi Macinnes, who helped found Fèis Arainn 18 years ago and Gillian Frame, an Arran girl who won the first young traditional musician of the year award at Celtic Connections, plus her husband Findlay Napier, who headlined at the Arran Folk Festival last year, on fiddle and guitar.
