A bid is being made to get Brodick brimming with bunting for Highland games day. While the Brodick Highland Games committee put bunting up through the village last year, some businesses put bunting up for the games as well, including Hunters guest house, and other companies have also done so.
Games secretary Sheila Gilmore said: ‘This was very much appreciated, both by the visitors and also the games committee, making the whole appeal of the day more festive, and we wondered if we might try to encourage more local businesses to do this sort of thing as this would add to the celebration of the occasion. Bunting is inexpensive to purchase and it would be lovely to see the whole of Brodick celebrating our wonderful Highland games.’
The games are on August 4 this year at Ormidale Park.
