Jessica to use medical skills on Himalayan adventure

An Arran student is to undertaking a five-week research expedition to the North Indian Himalayas as an assistant medical leader during the summer.

Jessica Gillson from Catacol, who is currently stud ying medicine at Glasgow University, will be making the trip, which is run by the British Exploring Society (BES), a branch of the Royal Geographic Society, and aims to change the lives of young people through par ticipation in research projects in extreme environments.
