The opening of the new Brodick ferry terminal appears to have gone relatively smoothly, but with many services fully booked there is disappointment that the second summer ferry is not in running for the busy Easter rush.
The MV Isle of Arran is not scheduled to arrive on Thursday April 26 which has led to the Arran Ferry Committee expressing its ‘disapproval’ and beginning its fight to have the service on for Easter next year.
Discussing the new terminal, Arran Community Council heard there had been complaints about the stairs, a lack of capacity in the lifts and the length of the walkway. It is also monitoring parking at the new terminal.
