A cyclist from Widnes who is undertaking a 1,500-mile trip to the Shetland Islands, and back again, has included Arran on his route as he takes on the monumental challenge in aid of Alzheimer’s Scotland.
Keith Pearson, 57, started his journey on Wednesday May 11 and completed the 300-mile journey to Arran in six days on his ICE recumbent bike. Weighing only 16kg before his possessions are loaded onto it, the trike is a state-of-theart three-wheeler that car ries his tent, a stove and a few other small items which are the bare minimum needed since Keith is travelling solo and has no support team with him.
