Glasgow City Mission’s Big Arran Challenge is set to return to the island next weekend – and it is urging members of the public to get outdoors to raise vital funds for its work.
The Big Arran Challenge will see participants climb Goatfell before cycling 57 miles around Arran’s stunning coastline. For those preferring a slightly smaller Big Challenge, cycleonly or hike-only options also exist.
The event is now its fourth year and has raised thousands of pounds for the mission, which works with people who are homeless and disadvantaged. Money raised by the event will fund its vital evening drop-in work where people can receive a hot meal and much needed help and advice.
