Distillery bosses on Arran hope to almost double the number of visitors in three years.
With the new Lagg distillery due to open in 2018, Isle of Arran Distillers predicts it will be attracting a total of 165,759 visitors by 2020 at its two sites on Arran.
Visiting a distillery has never been more popular with visitor numbers across Scotland hitting a record 1.6 million last year according to the Scotch Whisky Association. Trips to Arran increased by 33 per cent to 88,000, as previously reported by The Banner.
