FOLLOWING general advice to speed up recovery is not the best course of action, according to a new German study that looked at strategies used by top athletes in training camps and Olympic centres. Among the measures investigated were sport-specific cool-down activities or a light rowing exercise, massage, ice baths or simple relaxation.
