3000m STEEPLECHASE

Rosie Clarke: PB performance saw her beat favourite Lennie Waite
ROSIE CLARKE ran a PB of 9:52.20 to beat favourite Lennie Waite, but the Epsom & Ewell runner now needs to find another seven seconds to earn selection for Rio.
She believes it is possible, too, after only switching from flat races to the steeplechase this year.
“I’m really ecstatic,” said Clarke, who was fifth in the 1500m at the British Championships last year. “I wanted to win and convince myself that I did the correct thing in changing events this season. I was talking to my coach (David Harmer) before the race and we went through every scenario in my head and I feel like he has prepared me so well for this championship.”
