Bass Player UK Magazine 83 October 2012 Back Issue

Bass Guitar Magazine's October issue is a rock beast! The mighty Steve Harris of Iron Maiden, Chris Chaney of Jane’s Addiction, Todd Kerns from Slash’s band and Night By Night bassist Jonny Thornton all sling their basses low in this issue. We’ve also entered dub/soul/funk territory with the legendary Malcolm Joseph, veteran of Massive Attack, Neneh Cherry and Grace Jones. Pretty much all of the bass world is covered, we reckon, and that goes for our reviews and tuition columns too. If you’re new to the instrument and looking for an entry-level bass, check out the Beginning Bass column and head straight for our review of the £170 Shine SB6. Alternatively, you may be a seasoned professional with deep pockets, in which case head for the pro pages and our road-test of the £2500 Eve Elite bass. Or you may be somewhere in between these polar opposites, like most of us – and if so, there’s a huge amount of relevant info and advice for you in this issue.

Really interesting

Lots of interesting articles Reviewed 25 April 2022

Bass Player UK

I'm writing from Colombia. I really enjoy the magazine. Thanks guys. Reviewed 20 December 2020

Always a good read

Really entertaining view of guitar Reviewed 11 July 2019

Preferred the old reader

Although the new version has a few extra goodies like a side menu with all articles and a nicer layout, the zoom isn't as good as the old reader. With my phone horizontal the maximum zoom still has tiny lettering. It would be no good to someone who is short sighted. Reviewed 24 November 2012
