At 80 years old, George Millins is proving that age is but a number. He is as vocal and passionate as ever, campaigning for nature and wildlife
Our wildlife is in crisis, it has been for years, and I keep telling people this. My efforts are almost entirely centred on habitat creation and maintenance. It’s only recently that David Attenborough has been allowed to state it on TV – I’m sure he was aware of it many years ago. I ask ‘how are we going to stop this, how are we going to turn it around, if at all possible?’ We need to recreate habitats and that’s the main thrust of my efforts.
