HOWARD DAVIS JNR, one of the most talented amateur boxers in US history, and lightweight Olympic champion at the 1976 Games, has died at the age of 59.
Davis lost his battle with lung cancer last week (December 30) and passed away at his Plantation, Florida home surrounded by family.
Davis had been diagnosed with Stage-4 lung cancer earlier last year and when it spread to his liver, Howard’s body could no longer handle it.
