VILLA PARK currently hosts boxing almost as often as it does its Premier League-chasing football team, and while this six-bout offering from busy promoter Tommy Owens might not have been quite as high profile as some of its predecessors, there was still a decent enough crowd on hand to witness half-adozen wide points victories for the home favourites, all overseen by official Shaun Messer.
Unbeaten Brummie Raza Hamza [pictured] topped the bill in an eight against experienced Nicaraguan Elvis Guillen. Looking a division lighter, Guillen appeared all but done for as early as the opener when, already a tad reluctant to engage, he was sent to his knees by the very last punch of the session – a neat cross.
