BUSY Dagenham Police and Community club held a bonanza 22-bout show at the Roundhouse, with the Sunday afternoon action topped by an elite middleweight three-threes special. George Landers of the hosts showed nice variety in his work, especially with good left hooks to the body, but West Ham’s rugged Deniss Dagilis ploughed forward well in rounds two and three to take control for a split decision. The other senior action on March 31 was over three-twos and brought Dagenham two wins from four. A pair of flyweight contests saw Mahdi Khan Abdul edge a split over Aramis Frost (Feltham Police), while Yousseff Shah suffered three counts and a third-round stoppage against Fisher’s Hassan Hashim. Dagenham welter Michael Omokayode wobbled J Neiko St Leo (Powerpunch) for a first-round stoppage, but host club lightwelter Michael Bankole copped a count in the last en route to a gruelling split decision loss against Westside’s Mihail Georgu. Pick of the junior action saw Dagenham starlet Tariq Agius finish strongly to earn a split victory in a 48kgs Youth three-twos against Baleigh Gibbs (Golden Ring).
