Planning in trades is vital when tackling a renovation project

According to the Federation of Master Builders (FMB), consumers must be patient when undertaking home improvement works. On average, it will take at least four months for a good quality builder to become available – on top of the time required to actually complete the project on the ground. Expect to factor in around seven months for an extension, six for a loft conversion and five for a new bathroom or kitchen in total.
