This month we speak to Bruce Bell, founding partner and director of Facit Homes, to get his view on Graven Hill the UK’s biggest custom build homes project
This contemporary six-bedroom house in Hertfordshire was designed and constructed by Facit Homes with the clients’ specific lifestyle requirements at the core of the plans

How are Facit Homes getting involved in the Graven Hill (GH) self and custom build project in Bicester? GH has just released the first plot prices (for 10 individual sites out of the 1,900 homes planned), so at the moment we’re talking to numerous potential purchasers about their options. We’re recommending the development to clients who have contacted us looking for land to self build on. We also had a stand at Build It Live Bicester to start engaging with people more locally. Where we can, we’re working directly with the GH team, as we’re in a good position to help them deliver houses.
