Sparkling sand shifted to Costa del Dalintober beach

Dalintober beach brought the seaside to Campbeltown when cities like Paris could only dream of shifting sand to the Seine.

At least 50 years ago, more than 30 years before Parisplage, imported sand created a beach from Dalintober pier across in front of SpringTheld Terrace.

Last Friday, a crusade started six years ago by Nena McSporran and led by Jamie McLean of Dalintober Beach Group came to fruition when McFadyen’s contractors added about 150 tons of Langa quarry sand to the shore.
