A donation of £2,500 from the South Kintyre Art Group (SKAG) has allowed the Friends of Campbeltown Museum (FOCM) to buy a pair of historic Campbeltown canvases, writes Mark Davey.
The two oils, from an art dealer in Wales, Fishing Boats at Campbeltown and Highland Washing at Kintyre, were painted by Archibald Angus MacKinnon, who is famed as the creator of the crucifixion in the cave on Davaar Island. A spokesperson said:
