£2.5 million fishing vessel launched

‘The truth is that this is a boat which could have been built at the shipyard in Campbeltown if it was still in business’


A NAVAL architect with more than a quarter of a century’s experience has seen his latest design slip into the water.

Ian Paton, 55, of Campbeltown-based S C McAllister, who now works from the company’s York office, said that the Resilient, on sea trials last week, built by his yard Parkol in Whitby is just the sort of traditional fishing vessel he learned to design at Campbeltown shipyard.
