Dog is suspected after sheep are injured

A PAIR of pregnant ewes were allegedly attacked in a field near Tayinloan.

The farmer is treating two injuries, a badly torn leg and a tail which was bitten off on Thursday last week near Ferry Farm.

A police spokesperson said: ‘It is strongly suspected that a dog has caused the injuries. Police are investigating the incident and are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with any information to contact them on 101 or anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.’
