A short-term working group has been set up by the Scottish Government because of concerns about the 2018 GP contract.
Recently, 120 people packed Carradale hall to hear Dr Malcolm Elder speak to East Kintyre Community Council about the contract and phase two’s possible adverse affect on the village surgery because of its rurality.
The proposal is to reduce the hours that doctors spend doing certain parts of patient care and employ other health care professionals to take on these roles – allowing doctors more time with patients. EKCC will write to Michael Russell MSP, but to take part in the survey go visit www.alliancescotland.
