Sir, In the editorial, on Friday April 7, about Kintyre writers, and in particular crime writers, there was a notable omission.
Jill McGown, who was born into a Campbeltown fishing family in 1947 and died in 2007, wrote 18 crime novels over a period of 22 years.
Thirteen of these – which form the Lloyd and Hill series – were re-issued a few years ago by Bello, an imprint of Pan Macmillan.
