HERE’S a truism a lot of gamers may not be ready for yet. Stealth is dead.

It’s likely as players move into the next generation of consoles/PCs/gaming platforms/whatever that the stealth game is going to be a casualty. It won’t disappear entirely - as is the case with a lot of genres that fall by the wayside, the indie sector will probably keep the stealth game alive in some shape or form. But Triple-A stealth games look like they may become a thing of the past, largely because the genre is pretty niche to begin with, and blockbuster games cost both the heaven and the earth to develop.
