What is it about a V-twin that seduces us so much? Is it the purely visceral feel of the power pulses generated by a V-twin or simply the sound made by a well-sorted one with open pipes?
We have a lovely selection of V-twins in the July issue: some would say it’s a case of the sublime, to the ridiculous. Sublime comes in the form of Ducati’s blood-red 90º four-valve per head twins the 916 SPS and its predecessor the 888.
Mossy rode both this month and came away in love with at least one of these two landmark machines. And who can blame him?
