Whether you’re tackling a weedy venue, shallow waters, or even giving rivers a go, there’s something for everyone in this issue, with a line-up of highly experienced anglers sharing their knowledge this month. Dave Lane continues his regular slot, and this month is talking strategic baiting, He’s been utilising his FishSpy to see just how much of his bait has been eaten, and to check his spots for signs of fish. Our man on the cover of this issue is James Salmons, who has been tackling the very shallow Northey Park. This is home to some beautiful big fish, and James shares his shallow-water tactics with us and how he deals with these situations. This month’s Rig Mechanic is Iain Macmillan, who gives us an in-depth look into his highly effective Naked Chod Rig, and shows you how to tie his brilliant pop-up rig that has caught him a load of fish. As well as these great features, there’s a whole range of some of the newest and best tackle to hit the market, as well as top baits which are well worth checking out in our Carp Food and Carper’s Kit sections. Very enjoyable magazine!

This is my first time reading a crafty carper and it is very diverse with a lot of different content from all areas of carping. Got to love an online magazine as it is a ton cheaper than shipping overseas. Reviewed 30 January 2013
