Delivery Magazine  |  Issue 41 April-May 2012

We start our reviews in this issue with a look at the all-new Colorado from Holden. This is a brand new product from the ground-up and although manufactured in Thailand, pretty much like all other Japanese-styled utes, there a high degree of input into the final product that’s come from Holden designers and engineers based in Port Melbourne.

Nissan has also been busy in developing its ute range and we have all the details of upgrades to existing models plus the broadening of the range that includes a better price position for the extremely impressive 550Nm diesel V6 engine.

Fiat has released details of the upgrades to its Ducato range but we have yet to have the opportunity to drive them and get up close and personal. Fellow Italian van maker IVECO is also in the same boat, metaphorically speaking, also announcing a range of new upgrades but not having yet managed to get examples of the latest versions here for evaluation or sale.

What has arrived in our country though is the completely updated Renault Master range of medium and long wheelbase vans.

As you can see on our front cover shot, it’s a great looking van with a lot more street presence than its predecessor.

The Renault van line-up now includes the Master as its flagship product and this will also increase in terms of its variants in the months ahead to include chassis cab versions and possibly high roof options for the van models.

The light commercial vehicle operator has always been used to the notion of using LPG (Liquid petroleum Gas) as an alternative fuel source but up until now it’s always usually been as the result of an aftermarket conversion. That’s all changed now the Holden releasing a dedicated LPG fuelled version of the Commodore ute.

Delivery Magazine has been out and about the roads of Victoria trialing the new LPG powered versions and come back with a report that it’s extremely impressive.
