Diesel&EcoCar Magazine  |  344
It’s a proud moment for the Diesel Car team as they present the culmination of months of planning and hard work, as we reveal the facelifted, new-look edition of Diesel Car. As well as a fresher, more modern look, there’s 16 extra pages, additional features, extra personality, a new buying and selling section and more of the areas that you’ve come to love about Diesel Car.
In our special Christmas issue, there’s first tests of both the diesel and plug-in hybrid versions of the Mitsubishi Outlander, as well first drives of the MINI Clubman, Infiniti Q30, SEAT Ibiza and Alhambra and SsangYong Tivoli 4x4. Jaguar’s brand-new XE takes on the current champion of the executive car market the BMW 3 Series, both battling out to claim the best spot in the company car park. There’s a test of the latest Mercedes-Benz GLE-Class on UK roads, as well as the Volkswagen Golf GTD Estate and latest Mazda2.
We test a variety of different breathalysers just in time for Christmas, and take a look at the results from the annual MPG Marathon. This month’s reader’s car is now pretty unique, as it’s the last Talbot Horizon diesel left in the UK, while this month’s used car buyer’s guide is all about the Fiat Panda 1.3 MultiJet, including the Trekking, 4x4 and Cross editions. Over in this month’s Eco Car supplement, there’s tests of the Toyota Mirai hydrogen fuel-cell vehicle, as well as the uprated, longer range Nissan Leaf, and the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV previously mentioned.
