Citroën’s C4 Cactus has been a big hit, and now the French firm is hoping that a similar design for its latest C3 supermini will be just as popular. It’s cool, funky and in showrooms in January next year. We’ve also got the full story on Citroën’s Advanced Comfort programme, as well as the first photographs of Mercedes-Benz’s new E-Class estate and a whole lot more.

It may only have just been unveiled a couple of weeks ago, but we’ve been driving it – the all-new Audi A5 Coupé. Find out what we think of the German company’s 4 Series and C-Class Coupé challenger. SEAT’s Ateca SUV has been put through its paces and we’ve been testing the new Volvo V90 estate. Fiat’s new Fullback pick-up gets driven for the for the first time, too, and we get behind the wheel of the latest Volkswagen Amarok with 3.0-litre TDI engine. Completing this month’s first tests, our team have been driving the Fiat Tipo SW, as well as the MINI Clubman Cooper SD ALL4 and Volkswagen Tiguan on UK roads.

The latest Mercedes-Benz E-Class goes head-to-head with the Audi A6 in an executive car shootout, and we test the facelifted Peugeot 2008, the updated Subaru Forester and the mighty Mercedes-Benz GLS-Class. It’s the final third part of our features on learning to drive, we experience Ford’s Drug-driving suit, and this month’s used car buyer’s guide is on the Audi TT Coupé and Roadster. In this month’s EcoCar supplement, we learn all about PSA Group’s new electrification strategy, while Volvo’s new XC90 T8 Twin-Engine goes head-to-head with the plug-in hybrid BMW X5 xDrive40e.

diesel, green cars, electric mag

The UK’s leading magazine for diesel, green cars, electric, hybrids and alternative fuelled vehicles, full of advice on tech, mechanics, future plans. great photos inspiring reviews Reviewed 21 August 2022

I like the way it has evolved over the years

I have been buying it in print and online since the early 2000s and I like that it always has focused on the economy end of motoring, or us cheapskates if you like. It has moved to covering hybrids and electric cars which is good, and hasn't forgotten its roots - diesels.

It's a friendly, down to early mag and Doctor Diesel is still the best bit.
