An Alternative Christmas with O’Hooley & Tidow

One of British folk’s mightiest duos, Belinda O’Hooley and Heidi Tidow’s newest album sets out to shine a light on both the darker hues of winter and the alternative ways we celebrate – or don’t celebrate – Christmas.

DIVA: We last spoke in 2015 when you were prepping for your Summat’s Brewin’ tour. How did it go?

HEIDI: Oh, it was fantastic! We did 30 dates in pubs and breweries up and down the country – singing drinking songs and exploring the nation’s fascination with alcohol – from the good, to the bad, to the ugly. We managed the first half sober, but because we were spending so much time in all these lovely pubs, we actually started drinking beer again! [laughs]
