Self-care is a journey, not a destination. It is an exploration of service to self. It is neither selfless nor selfish. It sits somewhere in the quiet balance between the two. It is gaining the strength to accept you are worthy of being nourished, yet also acquiring the power to give love freely. Self-care starts and ends with you. They say you can’t pour from an empty cup. And my sisters, I know we carry many cups.
The first act of self-care I took when writing this is a simple one, yet somehow in our conditioning it’s something we forget. I asked for help.
