Well, things have certainly been moving on apace! Nevermind all the shenanigans going in Westminster – what about all the changes taking place in the TARDIS? What with all our Issue 500 celebrations, followed immediately by our big Tom Baker Special last month, we haven’t really had the opportunity to give Pearl Mackie her first DWM cover. Well, we’ve tried to make amends this month.

Along with Peter Capaldi and Matt Lucas, Pearl has been hard at work over the past few weeks, as shooting on Doctor Who has resumed in Cardiff. It’s going to be a good few months till we actually get to see the fruits of their labours, but let me tell you – from what I’ve seen so far, it’s looking good!

Obviously there’s not much we’re allowed to tell you about it all at the moment, but it’s clear that Pearl is going to be fantastic as Bill, while I’m looking forward to seeing a lot more of Matt Lucas as Nardole. Just a hunch, but I reckon there’s more to him than meets the eye...
