The Victorian drawing room is a new and exciting project beginning this month which incorporates the free wallpaper you will receive with this issue. Dawn Monk provides the setting with her expertise in interior design and soft furnishing, whilst a number of contributors will provide projects for furniture, tatting and embroidery, and suppliers’ items will complete the scene.

In this issue you will find the making of the fire surround and over mantle, round table and hall table by James Parker. For tatting enthusiasts there is a pretty clover design table centre piece by Josephine Sladdin. Suppliers’ details can be found with the project.

Other projects include a traditional Father Christmas and 1/24th scale embroidered settle cushions by Sandra Whitehead, the first part in a series for making porcelain dolls from scratch, an embroidered pumpkin cushion ideal for the beginner, and the final part of the apothecary and more.

We complete the Puff Collection with a number of stunning works by Michael Puff, and take a look at the exquisite work of Charles Becker, founder of weeGems.net

Ann Sutcliffe profiles Kathryn Griffiths, designer and maker of the beautiful Stokesay Ware china, whilst Jo Toye takes a look at the popular dolls house holidays available.
