i love a lady with determination and the will to complete a task, and I think I have found one in Ann Storey. Like many of you I am no techie when it comes down to the photographs we use in DHW, and I am always guided by the experts “back at the ranch”, as they say.
Ann’s determination (and granddaughter Molly’s photographic and computer skills) is the reason that you can see the lovely pictures of Walney Road — just one of Ann’s many projects. I hope to show you more later. Seriously though, Ann has been through a great deal to get to this stage as this lady was diagnosed with arthritis forty years ago. Eventually her hands became so bad that she could no longer sew or knit or, indeed, make and sell greeting cards, which she badly missed.
About twenty five years ago her husband Ken made Ann a doll’s house and her creative juices began flowing once again. Ann just loved decorating, furnishing it, and generally having fun again and, when no one was looking, suddenly, like magic, there were three!
One is a “normal” house (since when is dollshousing normal?), one was a pub, and the last one was a shop, and sure enough, like many of us, Ann was addicted. She even started a Facebook group called Ann’s Dollshouse Group.
