Strolling through virtual shops and online auction sites is wildly popular, but it doesn’t have to be full-size: a miniature shop will do just fine.
Elize van Es has created one based upon her holidays in Sweden and you could spend hours looking at everything and will want to come back for another look!
Elize had bought a previously owned Greenleaf doll’s house kit, the ‘Arthur’, she discovered on Marktplaats (the Dutch eBay), for just £20.
When it arrived, she just couldn’t wait to assemble it, but while putting up the exterior walls, she realised she didn’t care for the interior layout at all. She particularly disliked the staircase.
On her DIY mini wish list was the desire to build a spiral staircase. She then scrapped many of the internal walls, and removed a quarter of the floor space upstairs to let in more light in. Elize finally had the perfect open concept interior, both upstairs and down!
