Greetings everyone! I wanted to share this wonderful base doll design for a Madame de Pompadour type costume. This tutorial is easy enough for a beginner (with a bit of patience), and adaptable enough for the advanced dollmaker to decorate lavishly.
■ Doll
Step 1. Paint your doll shoes using two light coats of black fingernail polish
■ Doll assembly materials (pipecleaners, white florist tape and cotton balls)
Step 2. Assemble your doll using your preferred assembly method.

■ Various dressmaking materials/ trims/laces/handkie for apron
Step 3. Cut a rectangle of batiste 4-1/2” x 7”. Turn under the very bottom edge and glue to the wrong side.
■ Zap a gap (super glue)
Step 4. Turn one side edge to the wrong side and glue.
■ Zip kicker (accelerant for above)
Step 5. Join the side edges making a tube.
