if this adorable, colourful, whimsical flowery fantasy doesn’t remind you of Easter – then nothing will. How could I possibly resist telling you all about Sherri Mance’s rabbits, teddy bears and pussycat collection, all living happily together in a flowery wonderland? (Look out -I’m off with the fairies again!)
Facts have to get in the way of my musing, sorry about that. It was built by Sherri from an Ar thur kit and measures 18” x 13” x 24”. Each room has carefully chosen wallpaper, eggs in one room, rabbits in two of the rooms, and flowers in another. Even the kitchen furniture is painted pink to match the adorable rabbit wallpaper. The wallpapers are all scrapbooking papers by the way from hobby shops, and are just perfect for this house.
Obviously Sherri loves Easter and, in fact, hosts an Easter dinner at her house each year, having taken over from her grandmother. With this doll’s house she decided to cover it in tiny fabric and paper flowers, some of which were her daughter’s hair slides, and some simply collected over the years.
The grass was from a fabric shop and Sherri added carrot counters, jars, painted table and chairs and basket at the top of the stairs. The front door wreath, cushions, and the bunny on the door mat were made by Sherri, and she also made the tree, bushes and vines from real flower stems.
