10 Key aspects of the General Data Protection Regulation that your organisation should take into consideration

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) resulted from the increasing development of technology and the use of digital channels as socialisation, selling or advertising tools. These developments pointed out the necessity to update the current European Data Protection framework and thus the GDPR was approved in May 2016.

Organisations have less than two years until May 2018 to implement the changes introduced by the Regulation. Its implementation may represent a challenge for organisations. In particular, for those located in Member States whose Data Protection standards differ considerably from the ones established by the GDPR.
