TUNE IN TO THE PAST

This autumn saw the 80th anniversary of the start of the Second World War, a global conflict in which upwards of 70 million people are estimated to have died as a consequence during those six terrible years. It’s a conflict that affected all our families’ lives, at home and abroard, and, as such, is a hugely important chapter in our family histories. To help preserve the memories and stories of those who lived through the war, in 1998 the Second World War Experience Centre (SWWEC) was set up as a charity. Today it has a research centre and archive, and an extensive website to visit too: https://war-experience.org
