Q Should I move my existing website to Wordpress?

A Tony Kirkman runs the Kirkman One-Name Study, with a website he updates regularly at This website is built and maintained using Serif Web Plus, a PC-based web builder package. Serif has discontinued support for the version and Tony asked whether this would be an opportunity to move the website to WordPress, rather than continue with Serif and purchase an upgrade. This is a common question from existing website owners who, for whatever reason, are considering moving to another package or platform but are unsure how to go about it. The answer really depends upon a number of factors including the website’s current hosting, software, content and layout but also human factors of such as technical ability and personal preference.
