Discover hidden treasures from the archives in a free tour during the Prince Philip Maritime Collections Centre Community Day at Royal Museums Greenwich
England’s largest heritage and culture festival is celebrating its silver anniversary with thousands of free events taking place across 10 days, manned by an incredible 40,000 volunteers.
Heritage Open Days (HODS), which takes place 13-22 September, enables visitors to explore places not normally open to the public and learn more about the heritage on their doorstep. This year a special programme of ‘People Power’ events will focus on highlighting historic and contemporary communities, groups and individuals who have affected positive change; buildings saved, greenspaces created, friendships forged, campaigns fought and voices heard.
