GREAT LAUNCH ROAD: D15, PARC NATURAL HAUT LANGUEDOC

Wet but wonderful!

Even though it was wet (which provided a sensational test for the new Roadsmart III tyre) Dunlop’s choice of the D15 in the south of France was inspired. With most riders heading to either the Alps, the Pyrenees, to Millau bridge or to the roads just above the Med, it was great to sample an area that, for us at least, we hadn’t had a play in. Looking at the map, Dunlop wasn’t short of roads to plump for, but the highlight of the two hour trip was a shot on the D15 and later on, on the D908, a big sweeping road where you could really pile the speed on. It was a cracking little road that only had about two cars going up and down it while we were freezing our collective arses off having pictures taken in the wet. We can only imagine what it’s like in the dry, especially on a warm, sunny day. It’s a great area to explore, offering lovely food and a chance to ride on roads a little way off the norm.
