We've seen our fair share of wacky stuff in the past, but there's a hint of pure genius in this concept of roundabout speedway. What's not to like no brakes, massive power (typically 80bhp from the 500cc single engine), the waft of methanol and very little grip!
This particular stunt was done to promote the virtues of a rather famous taurine based beverage, and was staged around the streets of Lublin in Poland. Starring local riders, Maciek Janowski, Piotr Pawlicki and Przemyslaw Pawlicki (Speedway GP regulars), the spectacle may have been purely for show, but we're saying there's a future in this sport. Imagine a big roundabout, or set of roundabouts, on an industrial estate near you. Four nutters vying to get the holeshot and then keeping their nose in front for the remainder of the race love it! So maybe the days of kneedown round a roundabout are over it's time to get the back out, all with a dab of oppo!
